Posted 03/21/2020 Here we have a 1966 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible. This '66 Corvette Resto Mod has had a complete Frame Off Restoration has been redone to give you the best of both worlds! You get the iconic styling of the C2 Corvette with the modern driveline of the LS Fuel Injected Corvette's that we all love. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior, interior, and heartbeat of this Chevrolet but first we would like to tell you a little about us. The body on this '66 is in phenomenal condition and has been painted in the Base Coat Clear Coat Rally Red paint. Its been polished to a deep shine that has a mirror finish. The body on this Vette is laser straight and the body lines are nearly perfect. The time and effort that went into the restoration is evident as every detail is of the finest quality. Every piece of chrome and stainless looks to be in new condition with a beautiful finish. This Corvette is set up with the iconic side pipes that really help to set this '66 off in a crowd. The Rally Red is accented by the new white convertible top that an excellent fit. All of the glass in this Vette looks amazing and all the lights, wipers and turn signals are working as they should, yes that includes the Headlights! To finish off the look it's sitting on a set of custom built 18 inch and 19 inch Billet Specialty Wheels that even sport a custom set of Red Line Tires that pull the whole stance together. Next, we will look at the interior of this Convertible. On the inside you're going to fall in love all over again. It's done in the red and white color combination that flows perfectly with the exterior color scheme. There's not room for love loss on the inside of this '66 as it has been redone with Leather Seats and everything has a showroom appearance. All new carpet has been installed and is one of the best fits I've ever seen. Every piece of trim and stainless looks new. Its set up with the tilt wheel and the custom Red Wrapped Billet Steering Wheel. Looking at the dash you'll notice its got all new White-Faced Auto Meter Gauges that go with the White Faced Clock. This Corvette does come with Air Conditioning along with the radio upgraded to a digital unit with infinity speakers. Finally, we will get to the heartbeat of this Chevrolet. This is where the faint of heart need to stop while they are ahead. If you're still here then lets dive under the hood of this '66. It has been completely redone with a LS6 Corvette Z06 Engine with the 12561168 Casting and 243 Heads. Not to be out done by horsepower alone the detail to the install under the hood is some of the best you will ever see. Everything has been meticulously installed to the point you would feel like this Vette came stock with this set up. It has the polished LS6 Intake that's set up with a Spectre Intake. Dressed with the Polished Alternator and Polished Compressor this installation screams 60's Muscle Car. To keep it cool it has a new radiator installed with dual electric fans. Along with having Air Conditioning you can also see we have Power Rack and Pinion Steering with all new bushings and ball joints in the front end. It also comes set up with the Polished Power Brakes with the SSBC Four Wheel Disc Brake upgrade. When you look under this Vette you'll notice the eye for detail does not fall short. The floors and frame all look excellent and new body bushings were installed at the time of the frame off. The LS6 Engine is mated to the Tremec 5 Speed with Scatter Shield that goes out back to the Vette Rear end with New Spring along VBP Arms for improved ride. For Exhaust it has BBK Headers that flow out to the iconic Side Pipes.
