Posted 11/23/2019 Palm Beach 2009 Lot #656 - A frame-off restored car refinished in Sunfire Yellow with black interior trim. Features a correct matching number 327/350hp engine. This car has been upgraded and features the rare RPO NO3 36-gallon gas tank. Only 66 Corvettes were produced with this option in 1966. These were generally ordered by factory race teams to compete in races like the 12 Hours of Sebring and 24 Hours of LeMans. There is no race history or proof that this car was ever produced at the factory to be an original big tank Corvette, but it is an awesome addition and would be great for vintage racing. Other options include 4-speed manual transmission, 3.36 posi-traction rear axle, cast aluminum knock-off wheels with 7.75 x 15 gold line tires, factory side exhaust system, Teakwood steering wheel and radio delete.
