Posted 12/19/2019 Scottsdale 2005 Lot #679 - May 7, 1965 was the build date for this 1965 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible with a 396/425 horsepower engine. Only 2,157 were produced. Purchased by Robert Woodworth from Al Baumann Chevrolet Inc., 2247 West State Street, Fremont, Ohio. The vehicle came with a silver pearl exterior with black vinyl interior and a black softtop. The only option was an AM/FM radio. The 4-speed transmission, transistor ignition, positraction axle 370 were ordered for the L78 engine. Car received a body-off restoration completed in June 1995. Awards consist of Bloomington Gold - June 1995, Gold Spinner/Triple Crown Chevy Vette Fest - November 1995, and Zora Arkus Duntov Award - August 1996, scoring a 98.4. Less than 100 miles since restoration. Reproduction of window sticker, Corvette Owner's Guide, Chevrolet Instruction booklet, along with copy of Duntov final scoring sheet will go with car.
