Added to Registry 10/13/2015 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible, L88 Clone, Frame off Restored, 500+ Horsepower, This Big block was built very close to L88 specs and has been balanced correctly to equal 427 bore on a 468 Big Block with 11-1 Forged pistons, L88 427 Crower Cam and very desirable GM performance aluminum heads to top it off. This car is not being sold as a numbers matching L88 car. It could have been a big block or small block car from the factory but without original paperwork or matching block it is hard to say. The Frame off restoration was down by previous owner less than 250 miles ago. The underside of this car is as clean as the top with no rust issues, just a gorgeous undercarriage with lots of new parts. It is launched with an M-21 transmission and backed by an AM differential with 3:36 gears, VERY nice red paint with great body lines, The car looks almost brand new inside with new black bucket interior, beautiful crisp gauges, new carpets, new door panels, correct 6500 high Redline Tachometer and 80 oil pressure gauge, the car is rolling on a brand new set of Red Lines with correct reproduction bolt on wheels at a cost of over $3,500, Brand new reproduction side exhaust at a cost of over $2,500, most of the chrome and stainless all the way around the car is either new or polished to look new, the car will burn the rubber off the red line tires, it is a mean-nasty-fast & fun to drive car you can get in and drive and also keep the other corvette people wondering if its real and it turns head everywhere she goes! Left rear quarter panel has small crack in the paint-easily fixed for $500 roughly.
