Posted 05/21/2017 Jet Black 1967 Corvette roadster, 427/400hp, tri power car, red interior. Rare L-68 Powerglide transmission, A/C has had an extensive restoration. One of only 207 with L-35 Powerglide cars, power steering, power disc brakes, side exhaust, bolt on wheels and redlines. This incredible car was built to keep until the owner was forced to sell for medical reasons. If this was a numbers matching pedigree car it would be twice the price. The owner changed this Goodwood green car with saddle interior to the jet black beauty that it is today. Mirror finish black paint over an amazing 1967 Corvette body with great body lines and panel fit set off by the red stinger hood. New chrome including all 4 original GM bumpers re-chromed . The gorgeous red interior has been redone with new seat covers, new door panels, new console, new recovered dash with correct refinished gauges and real teak wheel, and a white top and newer Vintage air conditioning to keep cool. Extensive mechanical restoration from top to bottom, rebuilt hydraulic lifter 427/400hp engine is a 1968 replacement block that was rebuilt at the time of the restoration and is topped off with the correct tri-power carburetor set up. Less than 1 percent of 1967 Corvette had a L-35 Powerglide, this one is date code correct, rebuilt and shifts beautifully. Date code correct AZ suffix big block 3.70-1 rear end with correct half shafts, caps and heavy duty sway bar. Nicely optioned with power steering, power disc brakes. Meticulously restored under carriage, including frame, suspension, ball joints, u-joints and leaf springs. The new side exhaust sounds amazing rolling down the road on one year only 1967 bolt on turbine style wheels with redline tires that match perfectly.
