Engine details: The Cyl heads were painted orange to disguise the Aluminum due to potential heat warp issues of the day. I was told it came from the factory that way. (possible L-89 car?) Long interesting story!
Other details: Have a Bill of Sale from 1967 showing purchased from a Mr.Dawson taking my 64 VIN 12114 on trade w/some cash. Also have GM of Canada Doc's plus microfish records dated Mar 01/67 beyond "RARE" showing shipped 2/17/67 to dealer 95526 and VINs from 10596-11720 for Cdn. Imported Corvettes in that period.

Car history:
As I remember, I bought this car in the spring of 1967 from the prior owner that was involved in a dealer sponcered race program that got shelved for budgetary reasons at Gorries Chev/Olds in Toronto. At that time the engine had aluminum heads on it and a M-22 trans with Hurst shifter. The wheel wells were radiused in the rear and it was radio delete. I drag raced it at Kohler part of that summer after installing a Lakewood housing, 4:56 rear and borrowed 9:00x15 Racemasters runningvery low 12's. Sold it out of the Toronto Star Newspaper around Labor Day and seen it the next year at Newcar Trade
Center, a Hi-po car lot on Davenport Rd for the last time. A fun ride. Where is it now??
