| Car history: |
This car has both tops, 4 speed, Exterior and Interior are orignal colors Goodwood Green and Saddle Tan. Both Exterior and Interior are in excellent condition.
Frame has been refurbished and is in great condition as can be seen by pictures.
ENGINE: Currently has a 1969 "427" Engine installed and runs very good. You will also receive with this car the 1967 427 with proper build date and and VIN on the pad. The 67 engine was completely rebuilt several years ago before I owned it. When it was test run a small crack near the freeze plug was discovered hence the 69 engine was installed. I have been told by an engine shop that the crack is repairable but the engine will have to be disassembled, the block heated and while the the block is hot the crack welded. Then the block can be refinished on the outside so the blemish will not show.
INTERIOR: Trim Tab (pictured) Exterior Code 983 Trim Code 420
EXTERIOR: Excellent condition. This car does not have the side pipe exhaust which provides the driver and passenger a much more pleasant ride while not giving up the distinctive big block sound.
NOTE: I have been told by several "Corvette experts" that because this car was apprently build at the AO Smith factory "according to the A on the Trim plate" it cannot be a real big block. Anothr expert says that it's possible that the Trim Plate was changed at one time in the past. Even the "experts" can't agree.
