| Car history: |
This is a true and authentic numbers matching 427/435HP "head rest" Roadster. This is not a "restamped car" and the engine block has Never Been Decked. Frame-Off Restored in its original color Ralley Red with its original numbers matching engine, transmission and I believe original rear-end with original VIN Plate and the original Trim Tag still in place. Most everything on this Corvette is new NOS or has been meticulously restored including the professional restoration of the Speedometer, Tachometer, Oil Preassure Gauge, Alternator Gauge, Fuel Gauge, Temperature Gauge and Clock. According to the dealer I purchased it from, he said over $100,000 was spent to restore it to this status. This L-71 / 435HP Roadster is loaded with options including the rare "Head Rest" Leather Bucket Seat Interior. This option not only gives it a much improved appearance but also adds value to the car.

The 1960"s style machining "Broach Marks" are still on the nice "Dark Pad" as witnessed by a NCRS judge who confirmed their authenticity. These machining marks and exact GM type style and font size is proof this engine is original to the car and has Never Been Decked. The last digits of the engine numbers match the serial number and are original to the car. The transmission numbers are as follows and are original to the car: 75107414 3884685. Passenger side numbers: 3885010. US Patent number: 3088330. I couldn't get many of the rear-end numbers because of close quarters. I believe I saw Y3 and another number or two. Most everything on this Corvette is original with the exception of the carburetors which are not numbers, but not many of them are. This Corvette has no DOCS but is an original all numbers correct (except carbs and maybe alternator) beautiful investment which now should go up in value with every passing year. As the pictures show (even though I have had this Vette for some time and have driven it) the high gloss paint has no rock chips what so ever and the Rally Red paint in my opinion really is one of the best colors for this car and sets it apart from the others.
