| Car history: |
| Original purchase from Harry Mann Chevrolet in Los Angeles, California. Car originally fuel injected. 2nd owner moved the car from LA to Chicago. 3rd owner, Auto Town in West Allis, WI purchased car from Chicago auto auction in 1972 . Car purchased by 4th owner Phil Olson in West Allis, WI in July, 1973. Car had second engine with Holly carb when purchased by Phil Olson in 1973. Drive train rebuilt with 350HP/327 crate engine in July, 1974. Car driven until July, 2003 when it hit a tree on the passenger side door hinge. Frame and cowl pushed in about 10 inches. Considered totaled. Phil Olson kept the car but determined that the cost to restore the car exceeded the value of the car. PS... Phil sold the car to Harry Liebergen, a Corvette body man in Green Bay, Wisconsin in the spring of 2023. Harry patched up the car and got it running again, but it is a mess. Frame patched, body pieced together with lots of Bondo. Nothing fits correctly. Harry offered to sell the car back to Phil Olson in 2024 after he repaired it, but Harry wanted too much money for it. Phil did not purchase it back. Apparently someone in Crivitz, Wisconsin purchased it. Phil kept the Kelsey Hayes knock off wheels and had them restored in 2024. |
