Car history: |
This is an original, matching numbers, loaded, 1964 Corvette Coupe, with the original bill of sales invoice from Burt Chevrolet in Colorado.
This particular vehicle is loaded with power steering, windows and brakes as well as an automatic transmission. Everything is original but the car has been repainted to the original color code. Enjoyed by the same family for years. The sale includes original dealer bill of sale and sales invoice from Burt Chevrolet in Colorado. Note: Crack in windshield on passenger side.
The 1964 C2 was the second year of the second generation Corvette. The split window of the 63 was thought to be dangerous so it was replaced with a solid one piece design that carried over to Corvettes from then on. This second generation Vette was an instant classic and called the Sting Ray, an American Classic. This car has plenty of horsepower but a better ride than its predecessor due to an independent rear suspension and such options as air conditioning. The 1964 Sting Ray had decorative air vents on the B pillar with the drivers side being functional. The usual color keyed steering wheel was replaced this year with a simulated walnut wheel.
