Posted 12/27/2019 Domani Motor Cars is proud to offer this gorgeous classic. 1965 Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray. 1965 is right in the middle of the C2 generation Corvettes. This is important as the C2 Corvettes from 1963-1967 underwent significant changes throughout the years. 1965 brought an all new braking system and some new powerplants, including the 396cid big block V8 midyear in production. Also, the Rochester fuel injection system was replaced with a carburetor. The previous owner paid in excess of $95,000 when purchasing the Car from Mecum in 2013. Originally painted Glen Green with a Dark Green Vinyl interior, this Corvette was repainted white and reupholstered with a burgundy vinyl interior. This Corvette has a 396cid/425hp V8 engine mated to a 4-speed Muncie manual transmission. With all of the power it puts out, this motor gets this Corvette up to speed very quickly. This is one of just 8,186 Corvette coupes produced in 1965. This Vette stops on a dime thanks to power disc brakes on all four corners. It also has power steering, making it a breeze to drive! One of the best parts of this Corvette is the Vintage Air, air conditioning system that was installed, keeping occupants cool. This 'Vette turns heads wherever it goes and is instantly recognizable.
