| Car history: |
| Picked this car up in 2013, from a guy in San Diego. I did not realize what a basket case it was until I started digging in! Turns out it was a 1964 from the very front to the back of the Bird-cage. From there back, it was a 67 convertible. The front had a partial front replacement at one point, so I replaced the entire front clip. It will NEVER be a numbers car, and it is what it is, so I am making it mine! I also found out the frame was from a 1966 BB car with the HD 3.70 Posi, I had that rebuilt along with the trailing arms. This also gave me 4 wheel disc brakes and the opportunity to have a Big Block 64! I am using a very flat Edelbrock intake to see if I can keep it all under the original SB hood! The car sat for about 5 years in the Bodyshop with nothing going on, so I brought her home to get going. I replaced the front end with a full clip and completed the frame before being deployed once again with the Army in 2020. It now has a fresh coat of Riverside Red 2 stage paint and is ready to be assembled. |
