| Car history: |
I was the 6th owner of this great car. Found and restored by Gene Dressen, Pocatella, ID 1975-77. Gene received a Bloomigton Gold "Bronse Award June 28, 1978. I bought the car in May 1979 after seeing it in the Bozeman, MT. "BIG SKY" Weekend and drove it home to Southern California. We drove the car 14000 miles over the next 18 months and won numerours Corvette WSCC Show award and sold the car in winter 1980-81 to buy a business after it received a NCRS TOP FLIGHT at the 1980 National Convention in San Mateo, CA.
Carter and Ruth Pirkle from Iowa Park, Texas did another body off frame restoration in 1985 after owning the car for 4 years. At the NCRS Boston National, it was the first C-2 in the world to receive the new DUNTOV AWARD. Today the car is in a private collection with a Corvette Mike Vietro friend in Southern California. Regards, JIM GESSNER |
