| Car history: |
All I know is that I have the transmission from this car in my 1966 Corvette. My car was a theft recovery in the early 1970's in California. I think it was likely Southern California as that is where the next owner was from. The car was put together with parts from one or more 1967 Corvettes, as it had a 1967 Big Block hood, red 1967 dash and seats, and this 1967 Muncie with 13708 stamped on it. It is a 4 speed M21 (coarse spline, one(?) ring) or M20 transmission from a 1967 Corvette - serial # 7S113708 is stamped on the case. I really expect that the donor Corvette was junked in the early 70's, as that is how long this transmission has been in my car. The transmission was rebuilt a few thousand miles ago, so it should be in very good shape. |
