Car history:
Car was purchased new in Southern California. Based on the VIN, it is a very early build, and possibly a "Pilot Line car". Car was originally silver / blue with a dark Daytona blue interior. Mike Meek from San Jose, California bought the car in 1968 and auto crossed it in SCCA Region 33 San Francisco events from 68-72. In 72, he had Frank Schulties install a roll bar (SCCA #33-032) and raced the car from then on in B/P Road race events. He ran Riverside, Holtville near San Diego, Laguna Seca and other West Coast venues. Mike won a SCCA Regional race in 1974. In 1975, the car was sold to Jim Blundell. who raced it until 1978. Car sat until 83 where the log book shows Dennis Greenwood and J. Michael Burger from Layfette, California raced the car in GT-1 painted red and white. Hugh Long from Napa (CA) bought it in 1986 but never raced it. He sold it to Ken Raley in 1992 from Lexana (KS) who raced it extensively as a S/P car in the Salina, Kansas Region SCCA. Ken sold the car in 1995 to current owner Jim Keller who is restoring it to race SVRA.
