An absolutely exceptional example of this beautifully restored and seemingly completely accident free very rare 1964 Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray Fastback Coupe with its original matching #'s L76 327cid 365HP V8 engine and finished in its original and quite stunning 'Silver Blue' factory color paint with its original correct 'Blue' vinyl trim code 490BB interior and with standard options including bucket seats, cockpit cluster console, simulated walnut steering wheel, full carpeting, complete instrumentation and clock and boasting added factory options including:
327/365HP L76 V8 Engine ($107) 4 spd Muncie close ratio manual transmission ($188) 4 seasons Air Conditioning ($421) AM/FM Radio ($176) Positraction Axle 370R ($43) Transistor Ignition EQ ($75) Vacuum Power Brakes ($43) Tinted Glass ($16) Back Up Lamps ($10) 670x15 4 Ply WSW ($31)
The car is very striking and seemingly completely accident and obviously rust- free and looks extremely impressive in its professionally repainted original 'Silver Blue' (#912 Color Code, 1 of only 3,121 in this color) factory color paint with its original matching 'Blue' (#490BA Trim Code) vinyl interior in exceptional condition throughout. The car is all original and numbers matching including its original matching #'s L76 327/365HP V8 'RU' suffix code engine (correct code for every 327/365HP, MT, AC, IG car matched to it's correct casting # 3782870) which is extremely strong and powerful; its original 4 speed Muncie close ratio (correct #3888-778-3751-65) manual transmission; correct #3858403 Aluminum clutch bell housing & correct #3846429 tailshaft housing.
This particular car drives absolutely magnificently and the L76 engine sounds exactly as it should, quite awesome - must be driven and seen to be truly appreciated - drives straight as an arrow with no strange road wobbles, shakes or rattles - a truly remarkable daily driver that will give any modern day sports car a run for its money! The Muncie close ratio M20 4 speed manual transmission shifts smoothly through all the gears and the temperature always remains cool! |
