03/29/2014 Mecum Auctions Lot S191 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible 427/435 HP, Bloomington Gold Houston 2014 April 10-12, 2014 This Lot scheduled to be sold SAT 4:30PM This 1967 Rally Red Corvette convertible featured is an original motor 427/435 icon that has been through a highly detailed frame-off restoration just completed in June 2013. Immediately following restoration this car was awarded an OEM Bloomington Gold followed by a NCRS Top Flight. The car was restored using original parts and components, including door panels, dash pads, seat belts, seats, sun shades, shocks, windshield and glass. The body panels are un-hit and contribute to an excellent state of fit and finish, followed by correct application of lacquer paint. The chassis, underbody, chrome and engine compartment on this car are finished to the outmost standards completing this high scoring accurate restoration. This car was ordered in Saigon Vietnam through the Foreign Distributors Division of General Motors Corporation for pick up stateside at Beyerl Chevrolet in Monroeville, Pennsylvania on May 16, 1967.
