Posted 12/18/2019 Scottsdale 2007 Lot #750 - An extremely nice example of a very desirable mid-year Corvette coupe. It received a quality restoration in the mid-90s and has been carefully driven only in limited amounts since. The quality is evident everywhere you look from the particularly crisp door panels, like-new gauges, pristine upholstery, fully finished engine bay, clean undercarriage - even the clock with sweeping second hand works exactly how it's supposed to! The engine is a numbers matching, factory optional 300hp 327 mated with a Muncie M20 4-speed transmission. Other equipment includes a teakwood steering wheel, side-mounted exhaust, finned aluminum knock-off wheels, AM/FM radio, and white wall tires. 1965 is a great year for Corvettes due to some nice changes that, most importantly, includes the introduction of four-wheel disc brakes. This coupe is a superb driver with excellent power, buttoned-down handling, and one of the best exhaust notes to be had anywhere.
