| Engine details: |
300 hp- It is the original block but the heads were replaced with 67 castings. When i bought the car it had a stock but wrong date intake,a Holley replacement carb and 62/63 low valve covers. There was a 67 style 300 hp sticker on the air filter covering a 350 hp sticker.I believe sometime after Pucketts ownership somebody dressed the engine as a 350 hp and discarded the stock parts. |
| Other details: |
Hardtop only-Original trans and rear end.I installed black leather int. |

| Car history: |
| I purchased the car at Bloomington Gold in 1994 from Mershon's.The car had been owned by Mershon's and advertised for several months prior.I was told very little but the salesman who took me on my test drive mentioned the car came to Mershon's thru a Corvette dealer in Plainfield,Ill and that they had bought it from a pilot. There was also mention of an Arizona connection.I listed the VIN in the NCRS and received a response from a gentleman in Arizona who gave me one of the previous owners name and phone. His name was Galen Puckett. He had bought the car in 73 i believe, out of Flagstaff,Az.He had a Corvette shop in Phoenix area.He told me he or his wife used the car as a daily driver so he installed a convertible top.He told me he had driven the car back to Illinois at least once and needed the top just in case of rain.He installed power steering and a tele column also.He did'nt have any further info on the car.At the same time he also owned a 66 air coupe within 6 or 8 numbers of this car. |
