| Car history: |
| Original Dealer Ship Aberda-Shook Cheverlot 1934-1972 sold to Kool Cheverlot. Car had twelve owners but unable to establish who the first owner was. Second owner bought off a Kalamazoo Dealership lot. Side pipes and heavy duty suspension dealer added. Went through a fairly detailed frame off in 1988. approximately 41K miles and a single engine overhaul [.040] and received NCRS top flights at several regional meets shortly thereafter. I acquired in late 2006; second flights at SL Regional and National in 2007. due to paint and incorrect side pipe exhaust system. 4 year project to totally restore down to the last bolt. Corrected exhaust system back to original option. Completed June 2011 restoration Hendricks Restoration [Azle Tx] with final assembly Carr's Corvette [Plano, Texas] over $250k invested in this vehicle inclusive of restoration. Based on the color combination and options the probability is that only one car in that model year matched out of the 27k+ corvettes built in 1966. All matching numbers engine through drive train. Engine was overhauled to .060 but has never been decked. This is not a driver car and is presented as manufactured. Except for a 1967 driver door [that one can only tell with door panel and barrier removed] we believe the car has all original characteristics as manufactured. All parts build dates consistent with build date of November 22, 1965. Original knock off wheels with 3 original spinners [still looking for a original LH KH spinner to replace the reproduction currently on the car]. All glass reproduction with correct build dates [original glass retained but due to scratches was replaced for appearance]. The only other deviation as to originality is a substitution of stainless steel on hydraulic/fuel lines. Any questions please feel free to contact. |
