Bates over the next three decades performed some restoration work on the vehicle and drove approximately 4,000 miles. The vehicle was sold in 2001 to J. Johnson of Sharon Springs, N.Y with 62,000 miles. In Nov. 2003 the car was purchased from J. Johnson, though a broker, by its present owner.
