| Car history: |
| I purchased the car from a guy in Mpls/StPaul in 1979. The car had been parked since 1972. The car came out of Colorado. It still had the CO license plate on the vehicle when I purchased it. The car was originally sold by Vic Potamkin Chevrolet in Miami Beach FL. I do not have the documentation on this car. I have been looking for it for about 10 years now. The car had damage to both front corners, across the front and to the right rear quarter. I believe this car was used in some type of racing. The J56 brake package had dual pin calipers on it when I purchased the car. It had metallic disc brake pads which only work in racing. The rear wheel wells were hogged out to accomodate larger wheels and tires. Damage to right rear quarter was due to a wheel coming off of the unit at some time. Car was painted a heavy metal flake Red. Had a lot of clear over it. It had sat outside so long in the sun that the paint was baked off of the top and the only thing left on the top was the metal flake. The clear was spider webbed all over the car. Had to strip and repaint in 1981. |
