Engine is 427/390 that does not show a VIN number. I was told by the individual who restored this vehicle that prior owner stated that engine block required re-decking that removed this information. |

| Car history: |
| This Corvette was purchased from Pro Team Corvette Sales on 10-23-2009, whom had purchased it at a Mecum Auction. With Pro Team's assistance, the name of the restorer was identified as Ricotta's Automotive in Rockford, IL. After speaking to Tom, the owner, this was his personal vehicle that he got around 2005, which he and his brother did a frame-off restoration on over a 2-year period. He noted he got the car from Wendal Fagendorf around 2003, who had owned the car since 1969. Upon completion he only put 3000 miles on it before selling it, and a split-window, to a guy who pushed him to sell. Shortly later, this buyer had money problems and had to put the car up for auction. |
