Car history:
Posted 06/20/2017
1964 Chevrolet Corvette 327/300hp 4-speed manual Convertible. I have had
the car a while now and decided to sell because recently purchased another
vehicle and find myself driving the car less and less. It has been a wonderful
car to own over the years but I can no longer justify keeping it if I do not spend
any time enjoying it.

Vehicle Codes and Info:
VIN: 40867S109717
Motor VIN: 4109717
Style:64867
Trim:490BB
Paint:912AA
Body:S5653
Transmission:3846429- On tail housing
Transmission:3851325
Intake:3844459 300hp manifold

The car is as close to original as you could ask for barring a repaint of its correct
silver blue (912AA) close to 5 years ago by the previous owner right before he
sold it. The car retains its numbers matching 327/300hp engine (Motor: 4109717),
300hp manifold (3844459), and transmission (3851325 ) - (3846429- On tail housing).

The car has 77k original miles and also has its original dark blue interior which
has remained untouched and unaltered. The seats are full of color, with no rips
or tears, the radio works, all gauges, switches work. Even the clock works, which
is a treat for these cars! The glass is clear with no swirls or hazing and the chrome
and stainless are in similarly good condition, and it on a set of new tires.

The refresh of the silver blue paint job was done professionally at what I was
told was a shop specializing in Corvettes, and is gorgeous in any light. Form the
way it looks, I believe him! The body panels are all original and show no signs
of damage. My guess to the repaint was that the original paint was probably faded
and did not as well as the rest of the car so the previous owner decided to paint
the car and really bring it back to the standout that it is with this color combination.
The car has a correct black soft top that looks to be pretty new and the factory
hardtop that is included in the sale

The car has no rust issues and is very solid all the way down to frame, and I have
included some underbody pictures I had taken when I had the oil changed a few
months ago by my long time friend and mechanic I take all of my cars to. A few
months before that I had the engine compartment fully detailed while it was at
my mechanics shop getting a complete tune-up and carb overhaul. Bad timing as
I spent a lot of time this winter getting the car all sorted up and freshened up
only to decide to sell it because of a another vehicle that came up unexpectedly!

The car is a 4-owner car that spent the entirety of its like in Iowa and Nebraska
before I purchased the car and brought it to my home town in South Dakota. I
want to make sure I get this across as it is kind of difficult to do over the internet
on an online listing, but I have owned a lot of these old Corvettes over the years,
over a dozen for sure, and I am sure that many other Corvette collectors and
owners know how these cars drive either one of two ways. They either feel like
a collection of parts that squeak, rattle, roll, and shift around as the car goes
down the road, with hesitations here and there and a ride that is just so-so.
This car is not one of those cars, this is one of those cars that you get it, and
you do not want to get out of again. There is not a rattle, squeak, or hesitation
in this car, and that is hard to find in these cars. I have had to learn the hard way.
