Engine details: |
I have the Original 327/365HP and Muncie... but I am swapping it out for a 454 with Edelbrock Aluminum heads, Comp Cams Roller cam/lifters and roller rockers, FiTec electronic fuel injection system, and DeWitts Aluminum BB Radiator with electric fan. I have ceramic coated full length headers |
Other details: |
The car was purchased as a basket case. It needed a lot of work...Turns out, the car is a 64 from the front to the back of the Birdcage. From there, it has a 1967 convertible rear clip. The frame is from a 1966 BB car that had a HD differential with 3.70 gears and a factory BB rear sway bar. The car is a Soft and Hard top car. |

Car history: |
The car was purchased from San Diego CA in October 2013. It was in the shop waiting fiberglass work and some paint. After several years of waiting for the body guy, I took the car to my buddies house and began working on stripping it all the way down.
UPDATE 2020. The frame has been completely rebuilt from the tires up with 4 wheel Disc brakes and lines, new gas tank and lines, rebuilt trailing arms, composite rear spring, Bilstein shocks and BB front springs. Every bushing has been replaced. The frame was sandblasted and powder coated. Turned out to be a 1966 BB frame, so the car is getting a 454 and a 5 Speed Tremec TKO 600 OD trans and Hydraulic Clutch Conversion. A new fiberglass front end was placed on the car to get rid of 50 year old fiberglass repairs. The Riverside Red paint has been stripped down to fiberglass and new 2 stage paint has been applied. Replaced the taillight panel as well and got a BB radiator support which I had powder coated as well. Had to deploy for the Army to the Middle East until Nov 2020, but back at it again. Hope to be on the road for Summer 2021. |
