Car history: |
Posted 05/06/2017 I traded for this car and I am repeating what was told to me. The car has a matching motor which was fuel injected when it was new. The story I was told about 30 years back or so it had hit a fence and busted up front fiberglass front end. The inner fenders are still original. It was put back together with an aftermarket front end. The car was built in Feb of 1963.
The engine block is a 3782870 date code L 29 2. The front pad is stamped 3108983 F0117RF which matched the serial number of this car. The book I have states that would be a 360 HP fuel injection engine.
Exhaust Manifolds 3797942 LH and 3797906 RH these were used on the fuel injected 360 hp engines.
The transmission is a Borg Warner which was used in early 1963 for the fuel injected 360 hp engine it also has the serial number 3108983, which matches this car, stamped on it with the other stamp of WB1233. This was the transmission that was used for the fuel injected 360 hp engine.
The rear differential is stamped CE 21263 which is a positive traction 4:11:1 gear. This was also used in the 360 hp fuel injected car.
The heads and intake don't match and have been changed. Other than the front end this car looks to have a lot of the original parts. The frame and rear end is in great shape. Trim is 490P Saddle Vinyl, Paint is 932A Saddle Tan.
I did notice one small leak on a pinion seal.
I have the original front bumpers and hub caps that go with car. The car does have a new Carb, water pump, fuel pump, hoses and spark plug wires, gas tank and other misc. parts. Runs, drives and stops pretty good. The Top is Original. The seats are 1969 Camaro seats.
The windshield has a South Carolina Sticker where it was licensed in 1985. About all of the rubber bushing needs replaced, they look to be dry rotted. Speedometer and tachometer and oil pressure gauge and heat gauge works. |
