Car history: |
3 documented owners since new. Black with Silver makes a beautiful combination.
"My BARN FIND STORY" It sat in a dusty and dirty garage for 2o years (1976-1996). It was untouched and forgotten and certainly not running. I purchased it in March of '96 from the 2nd owner. The old man I bought it from was about 90 years old back then and has since passed away.
Story is, his son was a big gear head who liked nice cars and after inheriting some money from his aunt, he went to California to find his dream car. His search led him to a flared out, wild looking custom Corvette, repleat with six tailight treatment. He brought it back to the Chicago area and drove it only one year. About that time is when they developed differences and the car was parked and father & son went different ways. His father sold it to me 20 years later.
Body on restoration with fiberglass rework and repaint. Car still has it's original drivetrain, original starter, alternator, regulator, distributor, transistor ignition system, intake, and radiator.
It's an incredible experience to drive and to look at. Just pulling up to traffic makes heads spin cause the exhaust sounds so mean. Sinister in black with knock-off wheels makes for a wonderful sight.
