Lot #1321 - This Resto-Mod convertible marries classic mid-year styling with C6
Z06 Corvette technology. The custom built chassis offers a rectangular tube frame
that accepts the most up-to-date C6 Z06 Corvette suspension components and
brakes. The GM LS3/430hp launches this car quickly, assisted by the fast-shifting
TR6060 6-speed manual transmission and 3.73 gears. The wheels are 18 inch and
20 inch ZR1-style wheels with Pirelli tires. The car retains almost all of its original
body and interior except the rear quarters, which are 3 inch wider than stock to
accommodate the new rear suspension and larger, wider wheels. The coilover shocks
are adjustable so the ride and handling features can be controlled. The interior is
all-new Al Knoch on the original seats, Ididit tilt column and rebuilt stock gauges.
The car stands out with its bright silver paint, red interior and 427 Stinger Hood -
all sitting on the chrome wheels. The Griffin aluminum radiator keeps the car
running cool and fueled by a stainless-steel gas tank. This is a fine example, the
best mix of both the modern and classic world.
