Lot #662 - This 1963 Daytona Blue Corvette convertible started it's body-off
restoration in 1991. After disassembly, the original chassis, which had never been
hit, altered or experienced any rust, was stripped and painted. Every nut and bolt
was examined or replaced with only gm parts, and no aftermarket parts were used
in the restoration. Even the shifter console and bumpers are the originals that came
with the vehicle and have all been refinished to be as good, or better than when it
rolled off the line in 1963. The engine was completely rebuilt and bored. All of the
casting numbers match and were produced in the fall of 1962. All of the wiring is
new, old stock and operates flawlessly. This restoration spared no expense which
can be seen in the interior and convertible top which were both redone by Al Knoch.
This car comes with the restored optional hard top, which will be shipped to where
ever the purchaser wants it delivered. This is a beautiful representation of american
muscle history, one that needs nothing but a turn of the key to show you that this
is one of the finest 1963 convertibles available today.
