A beautiful driver, that has matching numbers, is in great condition, and turn key !! Has the original Vin and Trim plates riveted underneath the glove box. Get in and drive without any worries !! When I bought this Stingray 3 years ago, the previous owner, had new paint, top and interior with leather seats. Some restoration underneath and it ran ok. Apparently, this was originally Green, based on paint code .
I didn't want a perfect fully restored car because I wanted to drive it. Tinker with it, and slowly continue to restore it.
I put in brighter type head lights that were expensive, they look great tho, and I kept the original lights.
Everything works !! Clock, radio, dash lights, Etc..
The clutch and shifter were a little funny, so I decided to have it checked out.. the transmission had never been opened, so I decided to have it completely rebuilt, new HD clutch, and new factory style shifter. While it was there we replaced the brakes with SS inserts, and lots of new suspension parts and bushings.
Then I had my mechanic, who is incredible, Ive been around HP since I was a teen, this guy is incredibly meticulous, and builds street and marine engines up to 2000 HP that never have any problems. Previously, built a pair of 850 HP supercharged marine engines for me. Since then lots of different street cars.
Anyway, what we thought would be a 1/2 day job turned into a 4 day job. Went thru the lifters, completely rebuilt carb, and many other detail things.
It was like having a new engine in it, amazing.. The bottom end has never been touched and is ok for now, rarely any smoke thru the exhaust, and no issues. |
