Car history:
Up for bids with no reserve is a 340 HP 1963 Chevrolet Corvette engine block. The stamping on the front of the block for the engine number is F1010RE. There are 7 numbers in front of that number that are the model year and production number. The first 4 numbers are very faint, but look like 3112978. The 978 is very readable. The casting number on the back of the block is true to a 1963 motor. The number is 3782870. The condition of the block is average and will more than likely need bored. There does not seem to be any deep scores. The reason this motor was pulled was because the head gasket failed and there was a gap between the center two cylinders that is pictured. It was professionally repaired. This is a very rare original number block that will make your car more valuable. The block is being sold as is. The shipping will be calculated after the auction is over and will send the way the high bidder chooses. The most I will charge for shipping in the continental US is $135. If it is less, you pay only actual. I lowered the starting price by $50. If it does not sell this time, it is going back in the shed until it becomes more valuable.
