Car history: |
1965 Corvette coupe 76,000 original miles with a no hit body, perfect birdcage and frame. The car was always garaged and never winter driven. NCRS shipping data form states it sold new at H&B Chevrolet in Charleroi, PA. The car was traded in at Thompson Ford in Corning, N.Y. in 1973 by a doctor (original owner?) Purchased by Glenn Beckman (very short time owner)who sold it to Terry R. Casbeer 2038 Ellison Rd. Corning N.Y. 14830 607-738-7445. The car was registered in his name when I bought it. Repainted once the factory color in lacquer paint in the 1980s and again in 2022 after I hit a Javelina damaging the grille, one bumper and fiberglass damage to the front valance so I had the entire car repainted. In 2006 the original engine, clutch kit, headlight motors, carburetor, master cylinder, brake booster and all 4 brake calipers were all rebuilt. Starter is not original but alternator is. Have the original fuel pump and water pump that needs to be restored and reinstalled. Carpet was recently replaced with Al Knoch product. Door panels are excellent with no signs of race track trim pulling back in any place. Door handle pulls from inside are solid and no signs of stripped holes. Dash pads, gauge cluster, gauges, radio and clock are all correct 65 model year and with exception of the clock everything works. Original keys, spare tire carrier with lock in place and spare. Original jack, spring and handle. Interior is excellent with the exception of a hard to see tear in the bottom seat as is under the hood. Frame and birdcage are excellent original with bare fiberglass floors. |
